Nuclear Medicine Centre receives the Certificate of GMP Compliance of a manufacturer

On August 18, 2017, the Nuclear Medicine Centre (NMC) received the "Certificate of GMP Compliance of a manufacturer" issued by the State Agency of Medicines of the Republic of Latvia.
International training course "PET/CT in oncology"

From 3rd to 6th October 2016 Regional Training Course on "PET/CT in Oncology" organized by International Atomic Energy Agency is taking place in Riga Nuclear Medicine Centre. The Course covers important clinical aspects and appropriate use of PET/CT imaging for wide spectrum of cancer management. 40 nuclear medicine physicians and radiologists from Latvia, Eastern Europe and CIS countries are participating in the training, while the course is run by the internationally renowned and experienced lecturers from Spain, Denmark, the Netherlands and Austria. The venue for the final day of courses will be changed to Liepaja, where within the framework of "School of Radiology. PET / CT in oncology" 150 radiology specialists will learn the basics of the PET/CT method.
Operational launch of cyclotron complex provides the Baltic region with new possibilities for oncological disease diagnostics, research and treatment

“Nuclear medicine center” SIA (‘NMC’) started to operate its cyclotron complex, which is unique for the Baltic states. The cyclotron complex is providing development of different radiopharmaceuticals for onco-diagnostics, as well as facilitating innovations in nuclear medicine, radiochemistry and radiopharmaceuticals in the Baltic region. The NMC is the only company in the Baltics which can provide vertically-integrated functional image diagnostics of cancer, including the manufacturing of short life radiopharmaceuticals and PET/CT scanning of patients in its daughter company "MedVision".
